The Warpaint series was concieved by publisher Alan W. Hall in 1993 when he had passed the usual retirement age and his long-established magazine publishing company of eight fortnightly and monthly titles was being wound up.
Included in these were Aviation News, Scale Aircraft Modelling and Airfix Magazine all publications well-known to the model maker and aircraft enthusiast.

The Toy Soldier Show London has established itself as Europe’s premier showcase for miniature figurines in all its varied materials and ages. How can we justify that statement? Easily: every show brings enthusiasts from around the globe, whether as stall-holders or visitors. Europeans are numerous but we’ve also seen collectors from the US and Latin America as well as Africa and the Far East. With its central London venue, it’s become a truly international event.
